CONSTANT BARAGE OF UNTARGETED MARKETING DESPITE HAVING CLEARLY MARKED ON THE CONTRACT THAT I DO NOT WANT ANY MARKETING. TAKING THIS MATTER TO EVERY PLATFORM UNTIL IT COMES TO AN END FOR ME PERSONALLY.

The unsolicited spam, promos (definitely not targeted) despite marking that as a customer I am not interested for several years already goes against my consumer rights and has really gotten totally out of hand.

I will be raising with with the Consumer Council as well as ICASA and hopefully this will find the right channel in terms of protecting consumers.

I have sms'd STOP to 31118 - the terms clearly state that this will only deactivate 'some' direct and indirect marketing.

REMINDER: I PERSONALLY TICKED THE OPTION OF NOT GETTING MARKETING SENT TO MY NUMBERS BACK IN THE DAY WHEN I DID CONTRACT RENEWALS.

The sad reality is even exiting Vodacom entirely is not going to resolve this - hence this complaint.

Same applies to contracts - having experienced first hand an telephonic upgrade with the 3rd party which was an issue from start to cancellation within the 7 day period. I am being harassed daily on the number I have for my Dad - despite blocking the number!

Let me be clear - I want as little as possible to do with Vodacom - since again exiting is not going to solve the problem. Your Rain addition has added further to my disgruntled dismay of lack of service delivery and respect of contractual obligation.

I am tired of constantly pleading to be removed off databases which we all know Vodacom and the deed offices in particular are notorious for selling personal data.

Let's face it, these guys are not perturbed by POPIA given the terms I read today to establish how I can stop getting spammed with nonsense.

I am acutely aware having googled some of the links that are sms'd several times a day at this stage, that it automatically will debit amounts which is ******** - just because a customer clicked on an sms link. This has to be ******* or there is a loophole which in due course will be closed hopefully sooner rather than later.

As a consumer I have a duty to take this to every channel I have at my disposal until my simple request is honoured and I will make the time to do so.
