Consistent ***** on my Vodacom account

In April 2017 I experienced a ********** sim swap on one of my 4 Vodacom accounts. Not only did this sim swap activate international dialing, it also caused my bill to increase to in excess of R20,000 due to international phone calls, and furthermore cut off one of my lines which was used for business. 2 Months later and several phone calls, emails and trips to Vodacom stores I managed to resolve this problem.

I have now discovered that another line has been activated on my account since July 2017 (which was not visible on my online profile nor any statements for that matter). This line is for a data contract and is being used by a feature phone, which I am told they cannot identify the make or model of the phone, but that it is definitely not a smart phone.

I now have been informed that I have to go to get an affidavit, which not only stipulates that the account was never opened by me, but also has several personal details on it , including 3 specimen signatures and copies of my bank statements from July indicating the debit orders that have gone off my account. This has to be emailed to ********** Automatically this is ringing more alarm bells.

Furthermore, it is impossible to speak to someone of any seniority at Vodacom to explain the amount of ********** behaviour on my account, nor to see how a stop can be put to this for good.

Vodacom seems happy just to take my money for very little in return!
