Consistant dishonest conduct
I've been a loyal customer of Vodacom for years. Whenever you are nearing the end of your contract you are harassed with sales calls offering you new contracts. In a moment of weakness, in April I accepted what I thought was a good deal, starting in May (despite me asking them not to phone me before May as I was moving house). Ended up getting half the data I was led to believe I was getting and R20 more of a price. Phoned them to cancel my contract and query the difference. They corrected my account and switched my contract back but I had to wait until the next calender month to get the data that I'm used to. So May was very stressful as I didn't have enough data to do my work. (This took at least three phonecalls and an employee blaming me for the fact that Vodacom was charging me extra because I "can't keep changing my contract like that.")
June comes around, I get my old contract back - at R40 more per month. Phoned to query it. Had to explain the changes in contract. I was told the cost difference was a mistake on their part, it would be corrected in a week. Phoned two weeks later (last week) when my app was still telling me I owe R40 extra. Now, I'm told that it's too late to change the invoice. I would have to wait until July, let the extra amount come off my bank account and then get a refund (probably after another series of phone calls that I would have to make).
Now it's July. Sure enough, the extra money came off my bank account. There is no refund. AND they are still charging me R20 more than I've ever agreed to pay them on my invoice for July.
When I phoned I asked them for a reference number. I was denied one. I was told that this query would be listed on my account. If I log into my Vodacom app, there is no record of any of this.
I don't understand how they have a license to operate when they consistently violate one's consumer rights! Bad customer service is one thing but repetitively charging people more than they've agreed to pay is *******. ...And let's not even get started on privacy!

Best regards,
You record your sales calls. I would like someone to send me the audio from that call in April.
