Confusing repairs

Hi
I upgraded my 2 contracts in the beginning of July. Last week my wifes Sony Xperia M5 stopped working (the screen wouldnt turn on) so I took in to the Vodacom Customer Care store in Eastgate on Friday. Considering the phone is not even a month old this was already pretty frustrating. I was told when I checked it in that the R199 screen protecter I bought from Vodacom when I got the phone may be removed and wouldnt be refunded - so potentially the repair on a faulty phone will cost me a minimum of R199.
I then received an SMS on Sunday to say the phone was ready for collection. Excited at the prospect of getting the phone back so quickly we left a family function early and headed to Eastgate. The lady who served us (not the friendliest person at that) told us that the sms was sent in error and the phone was in fact not ready for collection. The technician had, apparently, closed the ticket to book it in again and that the phone would in fact only be ready today, and that I could exptect another sms at some point. I probed for more details but she simply repeated that it was a mistake and she's sorry for the inconvenience.
Please can someone find out what is going on with that repair and get back to me? The phone only worked for a few weeks, so this is exceedingly frustrating.

Hi

I received an email yesterday from Cassandra at Vodacom to say the device was ready for collection at the store. So I left work a bit earlier and battled through traffic to get to the Vodacom store in Eastgate before they closed.
The gentleman who helped me in the store told us that the device was in fact still with Sony, and as far as he could tell hadn't yet been returned to Vodacom let alone the store.

This is really getting ridiculous and it seems to be indicative of either Vodacom not caring about it's customers or employing lazy staff who don't care about their jobs. Either way I've now been sent to the Vodacom twice in error. I was told first time my phone would be ready on Monday 01/08/2016 (an obvious lie).
My phone has now been in for repairs almost as long as I owned it.

Please can somone competant find out what the hell is going on and when I can actually expect my phone to be returned??
