Completely misled about my cellphone repair
I have had terrible service from Vodacom. About 4 weeks ago my phone took water damage. I took it to Vodacom, who sent it away to see if it could be repaired. For the next 3 and a half weeks, I got regular updates via SMS about my phone's repair process, where it was, what they were doing etc, and I was quite impressed with the service, at first. Eventually, I received a phone call from Vodacom saying my phone was fixed, and they quoted me R975 for the fixed phone. I accepted the quote. About a week later, I received an SMS stating that my phone was ready for collection. Today, I walked into Vodacom Cresta to pick up my phone, only for them to tell me that my phone was actually irreparable and I'm stuck without it. Of course this confused me, as I got updates on the progress of my phone, and I received a quote for my fixed phone! Head office was called, and they confirmed that I received a quote and that I accepted it. They promised to phone me. They haven't. So now I'm stuck without my phone, having been misled into believing my phone was fixed, and even receiving a quote for it! I am very upset, to say the least. I was **** to and effort hasn't been made to resolve the situation.
