Completely *********** and Bad service with a lot of Red Tape (Guess that way their logo is red)
As our company is growing and expanding, we had the need for more bandwidth and a switchboard system that can transfer to our cellphones when we are not in the office. I contacted my Vodacom go-to guy at Nelspruit Vodacom (Riaan always excellent help, support, and service!). He informed me that Vodacom sells what they call a Vodacom fixed line solution that can also handle a Vodacom switchboard system called OneNet. He got more information for me from upstream guys at Vodacom and they assured me that it is a free of charge installation for the Fixed line solution (Internet Part) and that the OneNet Solution Will follow. I then reverted back to him and said that according to my IT guys I will not be able to use their solution as we need a /23 public IP (Meaning 4 Public IP’s for our servers etc). He then again went upstream, and I was phoned by an individual at Vodacom that told me it includes a /23 IP Address and that the OneNet Switchboard Solution is easy and straight forward. We then proceeded with the initial installation (internet part) of a 20mbs line. Then the s%^& started. They went up and down between each other for six months and was not able to get my switchboard up and running. At a later stage their technician needed me to fill in a document with very technical terms and requirements that my IT department did not even knew what to answer as most of these questions was network specific to their network and setup. How can we possibly know this? The one lady told me that the technicians needed this to set up the system and to safeguard them if something is not correct, but how on earth would I know how they want to set up their network. After Six months of frustration, numerous calls and emails. I gave up and asked my IT department to get another solution. And within 6hours my new Switchboard was running perfect. Transferring between our phones, cellphones, voice prompts and all the bells and whistles you can dream of. We now have been running this system for about six months without a hiccup. Thanks to 3CX for a wonderful product. Then Two days after we did ourselfs with 3CX we got a mail from Vodacom that they now loged the install and no longer need these complicated documents. However, ever since I’ve been asking to cancel or shove the Internet system where the sun don’t shine. This has been dragging for about six months again. They refused to cancel the internet connection that is useless to me and they were not able to provide me with a /23 IP Address after about a year. They sold me something that they cant deliver. This is a direct violation of the consumer act according to my lawyer. They advertised under a false impression and can not deliver the service. I am still paying a thousand rand a month for something I cannot use. I have unplugged the equipment and got another provider that could suit our needs. However I am still paying for the service. Herewith I now demand before taking legal action against Vodacom under the Consumers act. That Vodacom reimburse me with at least 6 months of this service and cancel this service. I will not pay any cancelation fee or penalty as suggested by a Vodacom official (email with settlement amount). Throughout the process Vodacom was completely ***********, unprofessional and want me to pay for something they can’t deliver and on top of that make ne pay a cancelation/penalty fee. You would think Vodacom would look after a client that spends R8000 a month with them. If there is a MTN official out there. Contact me and take over my account… This is unprofessional, dishonest and downright pathetic. To avoid legal action and further public humiliation, please respond and give me reasonable results and service.
