Complete incompetence
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I took out a new contract online on the 29th September. It was the RED 500MB 50min which was going for R349 a month for 36 months with the Samsung S20 FE. When speaking to the consultant, I asked very specifically that my number be migrated as I was going from Vodacom prepaid to a Vodacom contract. Shouldn't be so difficult, right? Wrong. I was told that once an order has been processed there is nothing they can change. After I explicitly said I want to keep my old number, which I've had close to 17 years. I was on the phone for close to two hours trying to rectify the issue, and no one knew what to do. I just got bounced around from one department to the next. Eventually I got transferred back to the woman who took me through the process of taking out a new contract. Clearly has no idea what she is doing. She told me to go into a Vodacom store, and take along three months bank statements and proof of my residential address. For what exactly? When getting there, they said they could do nothing from their side. Which I'm sure she knew already, but just felt the need to make my life difficult. So I sat there, and phoned in yet again and was back on the phone with the same lady who clearly doesn't know how to do her job properly. She then said the only was to fix the error was to cancel the order, send the phone and its belongings back, which will take TWO weeks to process. And she cannot guarantee that the same contract will be available after the two weeks. Now I know for a fact, which was validated by the gentleman at the Vodacom store that they are able to open a previous deal. If that's what I was promised, and that's the contract I took out, why must I pay for your incompetence? Now I must go pay more for the same contract, just to get my number back? When it was not my mistake. I was also promised that she would phone me back on the 7th October, and thank goodness I didn't hold my breath waiting, because I still haven't heard from her.
Vodacom you and your consultants are absolutely pathetic. And then the customers are in the wrong and must pay for your mistakes? What a joke.
