Complete disregard for customers

Two months ago I changed my card debit order details because my 'old' card had expired. 5 days ago, I received a message from Vodacom stating that my account had been suspended due to non-payment. I called customer service and was told that I needed to go into a Vodacom outlet to sort this out. This morning I went to a Vodacom outlet and was told that my account was suspended due to non-payment as I was a cash customer. I have never been a cash customer and have had my account debited for over 10 years. The person assisting me at the outlet said she was not able to do anything for me as the accounts department had to get my card details (which I gave them two months ago) and then Vodacom could reactivate my account which would take between 4 - 5 hours. A few questions for Vodacom: >Why did I have to go into a Vodacom outlet when they were unable to help me? > Why did Vodacom lose my debit order details? > Why must I wait for 4-5 hours for reactivation when Vodacom made a mistake? > What is the purpose of having customer care people at outlets when they can't do anything? Vodacom you need to review how you do things and how you treat custmers. Pathetic.
