Complaints of bad service from call centres and service that they cannot assist with but they processed it.

I hereby would like to notify you of the network provider VODACOM's perthetic service received by the consultant's today the 06th of September 2017.

I have received messages advising that I have requested to port to the mtn network since 16:57 this evening. When in actual fact I have not done such a thing ever.

I rep**** to the message with a 1 as advised by vodacom if you as a customer has not requested the port. Yet I carried on receiving messages confirming the port has been approved.

I than call 111 and have been on the phone with the consultant's for almost two hours. Sent pillar to post, all different departments, having to repeat the same thing over and over that I have not requested to port my number to mtn network. Eventually get to a consultant in your customer care department advising she will escalate the matter however I should call ********** immediately and they will be able to stop the process.

I than call ********** spoke to Nozipho Nkosi in the porting department who was pretty rude kept me on hold for almost 20 minutes when I asked to be put to a superior and just puts me on hold without advising she will be doing so. Comes back on the line saying vodacom's process to porting back my number will take 5 working days. I should call mtn on ********** and they can reverse it within 3 hours. While still holding on for a superior, I called mtn and their offices are closed for the day.

Coming back to VODACOM's waiting service, I'm been put through to Adolphus Sanguulni an operating manager who advised the best he can do is work on it tomorrow.

This is unacceptable as I have never and not requested to be ported to another network. I have this mobile number for over 15 years now. Why would I port and I'm on prepaid.

Another issue that I think all network providers need to look into is before porting confirm customers details telephonically or using some kind of authentication process. For everything else we get asked how much airtime did you load last, give 1 number you called last, what mobile phone are you using, etc yet for porting you allowed to just send an SMS. Which is ridiculous! This is a security bridge especially in today's Era where ***** is done so easily.

I spoke to Adolphus who has advised he will work through this matter tomorrow morning although I need to notify my bank if I have cellphone banking or an app to remove the mobile number for now. This is causing me much unnecessary work.

Since I have not requested this port and for the perthetic service, I would like to be credited with all my airtime, data, talking points and more as compensation for being put through all these unnecessary procedures now.

Vodacom's service experience was a minus 100 for me this evening. Very disappointing!

I have called mtn to whom are unable to assist in reversing this porting process or cannot advise who asked for it to be processed. this is *****!!!!
