COMPLAINT - VODACOM WOODLANDS MALL

To whom it may concern

I would like to complain about the service I received at the Vodacom store Woodlands mall.

I went there this morning, to buy a screen protector and a charger for my Samsung S9. First, I had to wait 30 minutes to be helped, and then the salesperson (on the tech team) wasn't even friendly. I received a charger, and a screen protector. Knowing that my phone has a crack at the bottom left corner (AND THE TECH SALESPERSON WAS MADE WELL AWARE OF IT FROM THE START), he continued to apply a body glove screen protector and then the guy said that he couldn't get the "bubbles" out, and when I received the phone I had to tap twice as hard to get anything done on it. I left it, cause I thought that the screen protector will "set in" or whatever. However, now (a few hours later), I cannot use my phone, without having to punch my screen in order for it to register. I can't even answer phone calls, all because of this screen protector the "tech" salesperson, app**** to my phone. Honestly, I know the screen was cracked in the corner, but then your "tech" guy, who supposedly had training, should have informed that the screen protector would not work, and therefore SAVE ME R500!!!!!!

I came home after my trip, and when I wanted to charge my phone, the "Tech" salesperson gave me the wrong charger. Immediately I went back to the store with my slip (seeing as I spent R500 on the charger), and I explained to the same salesperson from this morning, what the problem was. First he did not believe me, then he changed the charger.

Here is the main reasons for my complaint:

I had to wait 20 minutes in order for the guy to do an exchange of the charger BECAUSE THE INDIVIDUAL WHO HAD THE AUTHORIZATION TO DO SO WAS ON TEA BREAK (according to the "tech" salesperson). When I told the guy that I had other places to be, appointments, etc, he only responded with "She's not here, I cannot help you." I started getting frustrated, and annoyed, because not only did I spent R500 on the charger, but THE TECH SALESMAN gave me the wrong charger, and AT MY OWN COST, I had to drive back to the mall to exchange it, only to be treated with NO RESPECT, and not receiving an apology either... No instead I still had to pay in on the charger. It's not my fault that the "tech" individual didn't know what charger to give me, and that certainly does not give him the right to treat me (a paying client) the way he did.

The salesperson was rude, and unhelpful. Whenever I said something, he sarcastically rep**** with "yes", if he doesn't want to work with people, or he doesn't know how to treat clients, PLEASE SEND HIM TO TRAINING THEN!!!!!!

My phone is now useless after the "tech" individual app**** the screen protector. I cannot type, or use my phone, and I cannot use my phone optimally. My phone was better off with the broken screen protector, than the so called "professional opinion" I received from a rude "tech" salesperson!!!

I informed the manager of the store (who was on TEA BREAK) that my phone isn't working, and that you have to punch the screen in order to just type a message, or to open an Application... Her response was "SORRY"... yeah that sorry doesn't fix my screen, or pays back the money I wasted on it! She did not even try to better the situation.

The manager of the store apologized for the inconvenience, but the person who caused all of this (the tech sales person) did NOT apologize, and was unprofessional in the way he treated me, as well as the way he wasted R500 of mine (and I work hard for my money, I don't work hard for unprofessional individuals to waste it.

I spent R1000 at the store today, and I left with anger, frustration, a phone that doesn't work properly anymore, and I got treated like garbage! I (the client) did not ask for this rude, and unacceptable treatment I received in the store. I did not ask the guy to provide me with the wrong charger, and I placed my trust in the professionalism of the staff members to provide me with service, and give honest feedback on the products I am buying (since its not just R100, but R1000 I wasted today!)

This is unacceptable, and I want IMMEDIATE action to be taken! The charger I got after the whole affair is in working condition. However, I want a refund on my screen protector, or a new one (of the same value) that doesn't make my phone unusable. I would also like to see how the petrol and time I wasted having to return to the store, and being treated like garbage, to be corrected and sorted out! Not only towards me, but towards the individuals who "helped" me too!

I trust that this matter will be taken up with the necessary seriousness and PROFESSIONALISM!

I hope to hear from you soon.
