Complaint Regarding Vodacom Contract Extension and Incorrect Billing

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to lodge a formal complaint regarding my Vodacom contract and the unfair billing I have recently experienced.

I signed a 36-month contract with Vodacom, which was supposed to end at the end of March 2026. Throughout the entire contract period, I never missed or skipped any payments and consistently paid the agreed monthly amount of R333.

On 4 May 2026, I contacted Vodacom to enquire why I was still receiving airtime and data after my contract period had ended. I was informed by the consultant that my contract was still active because I had not cancelled it. I was further advised that a Vodacom consultant was supposed to contact me before the end of the contract to confirm whether I wanted to continue or terminate the agreement. However, I never received any communication, call, email, or notification from Vodacom regarding this matter.

To make matters worse, Vodacom debited higher amounts from my account after the contract period:

April 2026: R367.93 May 2026: R374.13

I reversed the May debit order because I do not agree with these charges. Yesterday, I also received an SMS stating that I owe Vodacom R700, which I strongly dispute.

I find this situation unacceptable and unfair. I fulfilled my contractual obligations for the full 36 months, and I should not be penalised because Vodacom failed to communicate with me regarding the continuation of the contract.

I kindly request the following:

Immediate cancellation of the contract/services. Reversal of any charges app**** after March 2026. Removal of the alleged outstanding balance of R700. Written confirmation that this matter has been resolved and that my credit profile will not be negatively affected.

I am extremely disappointed with the poor communication and handling of this matter and trust that Vodacom will resolve this issue urgently.

Kind regards,
