Complaint being sent to ombudsman
Good day It’s with great sadness that we send this email today We have tried to sort this problem out with Vodacom with no success. 25/11/2018 we app**** online for Huawei R218h Mobile WiFi, Plan type 5GB Data price plan at R199 pm this was part of a black Friday promotion. This became a black experience for me as we had to phone in over and over as the request could first not be traced, then there was not stock there was always some or other story, if the consultants did what was expected from them you won’t have a problem tracing these notes or calls, it’s very unfortunate that we don’t have record of those calls or reference numbers any more. After a long dispute we finally received the package (including the laptop) mid-December. I have attached the December and January invoice for your convenience. We rapped the whole package up and gave it to my daughter as a xmass gift, 27/12/2018 we had to go to Vodacom, Pretoria, Wingtip centre to have the router activated for some or other reason it was not active yet, at this point no one had at any time mentioned to us that this was not a top-up package and would accumulate into kingdom come! We have several contracts we manage very well we would never ever inter into an open contract! We would like to request all the recordings of all our conversations especially the one where you inform us that this would be an open contract, be given to us! This most certainly won’t exist! no documents were signed except the courier pamphlet. According to the consumer act we have our rights at this was a miss representation that we will refuse to pay the accumulated cost. 1. Our suggestion will be either you cancel the contract i could not really care what will happen to the outstanding cost of the accumulated fee. 2. you correct your error and wave the accumulated fee and we continue with the contract on condition it will be a top-up bundle! Yesterday we tried to call 082135 and the agent we spoke to was not willing to reason at all. We have no alternative as to seek assistance from the ombudsman Looking forward to you urgent response in this regard Anton van Wyk ********** 369 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After this email we sent to both vodacom and the ombudsman we received a invoice for R7982.49!
