Complaint Against Vodacom

Unauthorized Contract Upgrades and Failure to Cancel I would like to lodge a formal complaint regarding the extremely poor service and ongoing billing dispute I have experienced with Vodacom. In January 2026, I was repeatedly contacted and pressured by Vodacom representatives to upgrade my month-to-month cellphone numbers to contracts. After eventually agreeing to the upgrades, I exercised my legal right within the 14-day cooling-off period and contacted Vodacom to cancel the upgrades. A few days later, I visited a Vodacom store in person to confirm that the cancellations had been processed. I was assured by the staff member that the upgrades/contracts had indeed been cancelled successfully. Despite this, Vodacom has continued charging my account at the higher contract rates to this day. I have since made multiple attempts to resolve the matter, but Vodacom now refuses to cancel the contracts and continues billing me for services I cancelled within the allowed cooling-off period. This situation has caused ongoing financial prejudice, frustration, and wasted time. I find it unacceptable that: I was aggressively pushed into upgrading; I cancelled within the legal cooling-off period; I received confirmation that the cancellation was processed; Yet Vodacom continues charging me and refuses to correct the issue. I request that Vodacom: Immediately cancel all disputed contracts; Reverse all incorrect charges dating back to January 2026; Refund any monies wrongly debited from my account; Provide written confirmation that the matter has been resolved. I hope this complaint will finally result in proper action being taken, as normal customer service channels have failed completely. Hennie ***
