Complaint about onesided change of contract by Vodacom

To whom it may concern.

Regarding Cellphone Number ***/***.

Hereby I wish to complain about the service at Vodacom/the one sided stopping/cancelling of my e-mail account on 31 March/01 April 2022. It appears that on 28 January 2022 I was sent an sms from Vodacom stating that my account will be automatically migrated to a new premium service on 31 March 2022.It also stated that it would cost R29 per month extra. It did not state or mention at all what would happen if you either declined their one sided offer or maybe ignored it or perhaps did not see it or viewed it perhaps as ridiculous or may some ****. Neither did they confirm or contact me at any stage to ascertain why I have not rep**** to their sms/e-mail,but shortly after 31 March 2022 I found my e-mail box inaccessible. Since then I made several requests for help under ticket numbers *** on Friday 01 April, *** April 6,ticket *** and on April ticket *** was issued after visiting the Vodacom store in Bethlehem, speaking to Marnus. I again called their store on Sunday morning 10 April 2022 and Nadine said she would refer my problem to Nelson.I presume he is their branch manager.

My problem is that e-mail boxes is for a purpose and mine is constantly being used for several purposes. Currently I have serious and urgent work related mails that I cannot access or may even be rejected because it appears that my mailbox has either(hopefully for all of us) only been put on hold temporarily and NOT been deleted or destroyed. What I want is that my current mailbox be reinstated as soon as possible (I believe 2 working days is fair, since I have been complaining since Friday 01 April). If that is impossible,I will accept migration to their new mailbox, without any extra payments beyond what I am currently paying, since they did not even have the decency to contact or confirm with me why I have not reacted on their flawed onesided offer. And I hope that they have not destroyed or deleted my current mailbox, because then they will have lost my whole account, and I will keep my current number with all and any porting costs for their account and will also face serious charges for damages. A lot of my e-mails are really important and many may have monetary value.

I am severely annoyed and offended by this kind of treatment.I am a longstanding paying customer, who never had any outstanding debts. So I want this matter resolved forthwith.

Thanks George Burton ***
