Complaint

Good day,

I would just like to relay the terrible service and solutioning I have experienced with Vodacom.

On Black Friday, i purchased the Nokia 8 Sirroco deal for R169 a month.

I was initially contacted to do checks 23 Nov at 14:44. I was then contacted to say it was successful and that I would receive my phone in 5 - 7 days.

The monday (26 Nov at 12:56), I was contacted and a consultant advised that my phone will be dilvered that Wednesday (28 Nov) and to have my ID and proof of res with me for the courier.

On Wednesday (28 Nov at 14:45) I call in because I've been waiting the whole day and nobody has contacted me for my phone. The consultant then advises me that they are out of stock and they will cal me when they have stock again.

'Meanwhile I'm trying to understand why someone would call me to confirm the delivery of a phone that isn't there.How could Vodacom, at that point in the delivery cycle not know there was no stock '

About 2 weeks after that (7 Dec at 16:28) a consultant contacted me to say the phone has been discontinued. "That's great!". This, I know is not true, as this is the latest flagship Nokia phone.

Subsequent calls have got Vodacom employees offering me lower end products.

However my argument is simple. After telling me I'm approved and confirming my phone is out for delivery, Vodacom should either 1) order me a new sirooco I don't care if you're getting it from Cellucity or technology! or 2) offer me a device with similar value and specs.

I would also like to know where I can lay a formal complaint on the matter.

I have tried to lay a formal complaint with Vodacom, but get pushed from pillar to post. I eventually went into a branch at Somerset mall and spoke to a consultantwho's name I won't mention (but I remember!!!) he gave me a number to complain... Which is just the same generic call centre number. How I do lay a formal complaint with Vodacom?
