Competency of Vodacom Staff questionable
I am now beyond disappointed and frustrated with the poor service received from Vodacom. This is my second review about the same query. My first review was based on the lack of communication between Vodacom consultants and their customers, the reason for my second review is because Vodacom has just proven that lack of communication is inevitable no matter who you contact. I have been reading the reviews on Hello Peter website, and on average there is about 20-30 customers complaining about the service they receive from Vodacom on a daily basis. Based on this, one would think that if a customer complains about no communication and lack of knowledge amongst Call Centre Agents, and a review is written about it, Vodacom will surely not prove when attempting to resolve my query, that they are exactly what I have complained about. So here is the second attempt to get this issue resolve: I was due for an upgrade in June, I couldn't wait for June and requested an early upgrade, Vodacom was unable to assist me so I opted to cancel the contract(premature cancellation) Inquired whether it would negatively impact should I take out another contract, consultant advised it would not affect my application. I explained to consultant that the only reason I am cancelling contract is because i couldn't wait to upgrade. Went in store to add additional line, application declined - Reason Maximum amount of lines exceeded. Apparently, it takes 30 days for the cancelled line not to reflect on my profile. This was not communicated to me at any time. Called the customer care call centre to inform them of my predicament, and it was suggested I apply for a credit limit increase in an attempt to resolve my issue. I agreed and was informed that it will take 24 hours. After 24 hours, called call centre to check progress, was informed that its still pending, I gave it another 24 hours. I called again, This time I was informed that it will pend for 3 months as I already made an application and it was declined and there is a 3 month waiting period before any credit vetting can be done. I contacted customer care so many times, one of the agents mentioned to me that she could see how many calls I have made and apologized for the inconvenience. Don't know why she even bothered to apologize and appear empathetic towards me because to date I am still waiting for her to call me back and give me feedback. I then decide to write a review on Hello peter, the next day I was contacted by Shad from Vodacom consumer web team, I unfortunately missed his call and he left a voice message and thereafter I received emails. According to Shad's email, he had forwarded my query to acquisitions department, and would get back to me as soon as he received feedback. In less than two days, feedback was received. This is the feedback, with the subject line Update and Solution: ********** ********** Apr 20 (2 days ago) to me
Good day Ms ******, We have received feedback. Please restart the phone.
Warm regards, Shad
Can someone please tell me how is this related to my query? I have mailed, rep**** to responses, called customer care, accounts department and sales department in search of Shad. It is as if Shad just provided me with irrelevant feedback and vanished. All I am requesting is clarity. I don't think I am asking too much, although when I take into account how many attempts there has been to get some sort of clarity, I might just be asking for a mountain to be moved. I hope there is someone out there that can provide me with a solution to my query that does not require me to restart my phone.
Waiting in anticipation for a response
