Combination of bad attitude and repairs problem

I am highly frustrated with Vodacom. I took my Samsung S4 to the Vodacom repairs centre in Sandton at the office towers, for starters the lady at reception is rather unfriendly and not welcoming at all. My Samsung is under a 2 year warranty which expires at the end of March but i got an sms that my repairs cost R5,500, so much for a warranty, i had a cracked screen and liquid damage. To make matters worse trying to get through to the switchboard at the repairs centre is like pulling water from a stone as its always engaged, when i finally got through I could hardly hear the woman on the other side as there was so much noise in the background, people talking loudly and laughing and clearly not behaving in a professional manner, I had to ask her 3 times to ask the people in the background to keep the noise down so i could hear what she was saying which was that my warranty has lapsed. So that was the end of it, no discussion about what i intend to do next, will i collect the phone or should they proceed? like what kind of service is this? so my phone is there and now what??? wow what shocking service from a huge corporation like Vodacom.
