Christmas blues

As all South Africans are aware, the festive season comes with its own issues and as a result my smartphone found a new owner, my tablet needed data so I put my not so smart phone to use loading airtime onto said device and then hoping to convert this into data using vodacoms application, no problem yet, but when I had already loaded my airtime and selected the bundle I wanted my device told me that I had insufficient balance to do the recharge, which naturally seemed strange and so I refreshed my quick view of the balances, which showed that I had R0.00 and 2kb of data remaining, this I assumed to be a glitch so I called customer care today once everything has kind of settled down to normality... I got a patronizing response teaching me how to limit my applications data use on my tablet when I am on cellular data, and the consultant told me that it is possible that my data was consumed in the couple of minutes I took to click the bundle on vodacoms app.

i just want to say that I find this highly unreasonable and that I believe the cellular service provider must be mad to charge R250 for less than five minutes of internet access with limited connectivity... vodacom shame on you...

i will I'll be recommending that all my friends and family boycott this network, and moving my business elsewhere, I'm sure it will come with its own drawbacks but get real!
