Check your facts first!

I was turned away from the Vodacom shop in Blueroute Mall this Sunday by two ladies who insisted I have an affirdavit to do a sim swap for my ****** pre-paid phone. They were addiment that a sim swap could not be done without an affidavit because anyone could claim that the number was theirs.

This after I called Vodacom to confirm what I needed for a sim swap before I went to the store. Also being an ex-Vodacom Customer Care agent I knew this not to be the case.

I did the sim swap this morning at Vodacom Pickbel Arcade with no affirdavit. The person there explained the process, asked for my ID, proof of residence and also asked me security questions to verify that I was the owner.

Thank you Blueroute Mall for the inconvenience of driving all the way for nothing and letting me be without a phone for an extra 2 days. I hope the two ladies managed to finish their conversation peacefully after I left.
