Cheap Screen protector

I went to Vodacom Westwood in December and purchased a brand new screen tempered glass for R200 which the installed on my cellphone screen. The very next day the glass has chipped and the chips increased despite the cellphone being placed in a glove. I went back a month later to complain and they refused to replace the screen saying I caused the damage and was very unsympathetic. Now days later the entire tempered glass broke in half and I realised they sold me a cheap plastic protector that would naturally chip on use and break in half from the chipped lines instead of a real glass protector which as Vodacom supplier they promised would be the best. Am not a happy chappy at their cheap product offering for R200 which was meant to be a glass tempered screen.
