Cheap Deals but no service

Absolutely enraged with Vodacom. I have been trying to apply for a contract for some time now and I keep getting an SMS to say that I have been approved and that someone will be in contact with me but then I am never called or if I am called, there is just silence and static on the other side of the line. I have not had a Vodacom contract in the past and was considering switching as people have said good things about their overall service but I am on the verge of going somewhere.
