Charging for basic free Caller ID

I recently have taken out a contract with vodacom after moving from Telkom. To my shock after everything was done phone received etc... I queried with them why aren't I able to view the numbers thats calling me is it settings on my side or network?. To my surprise the operator stated, No sir its a Service that you need to activate and pay extra for. Firstly this wasn't discussed during the contract signing or made aware to me of, I myself didn't ask as I know coming from firstly cellc contract there was no extra charge it was a basic thing. Moving over to telkom same story basic no extra charge. Get to vodacom its a charge for something which is basic. Please explain how something over 2 other networks are basic with no charge even if on prepaid yet I come to Vodacom and I need to pay R10 for it. I should've stayed with Telkom as my parents have a contract with them and this is a basic thing with no extra charge.

Totally disappointed coming to this useless network. Worst ever
