Charged for Vodacom's Mistakes

I have been a client of Vodacom's for over 10 years and have had several contracts with them. Earlier this year, my daughter was employed abroad and I had to cancel 2 of my 4 contracts with Vodacom. On 26 April I submitted and paid my early cancellation agreement. After being charged for the two accounts (despite having cancelled), I queried with Vodacom's customer care. They had cancelled the wrong account and hadn't processed the other. I was being charged for all 4 accounts still! I asked them to rectify the wrongly cancelled account which they did but THEN THEY CHARGED ME A RECONNECTION FEE!! It was Vodacom's mistake which they had rectified, why am I being charged a reconnection fee?!

This month I received my bill for June. I had once again been charged for the cancelled account (SINCE APRIL!). I am now paying for a cancelled account for which I paid the full cancellation fee in April and the reconnection fee on another account.

When I phone Vodacom Customer Care, I get sent from pillar to post and every time that I get put through to another person, I have to explain the history of my account all over again.

This is utterly unacceptable!

There is no one person that can resolve the issues, no one that can respond on email so that I have evidence of conversations in writing. I just get sent around to your skivvies that cannot resolve my problems.

I hope to hear from Vodacom to resolve the issue and expect a refund of the cancellation fee that I was charged for on Vodacom's mistake as well as the account that I cancelled in April.

I will be cancelling all my contracts with Vodacom by the end of the year.

The issue was promptly resolved by the social media department (?). I resent that it had to escalate to that but at least now I know how to get things done :)
