Charge without delivery? That's VODACOM!

Yesterday (17 Nov 2016) I attempted to purchase a 2Gb data bundle (R249) on Vodacom's website.

The website kept returning errors when I attempted to finalize the purchase ("There was an error in provisioning."), and so I tried again two more times (because I REALLY want to avoid Vodacom's ridiculously historic out of bundle rates).

Both additional efforts returned the same error.

Yesterday afternoon I received an SMS from Vodacom telling me my 2Gb Data bandle has been activated. The data was not there however.

This morning I received an SMS warning me that I am nearly out of bundle, with an offer to buy 1Gb for 7 days for R79, so I went online to see how much of a special this actually is (not much, really).

I logged into my account to see yet again that no data bundles were activated, but then looked a bit further and saw on My Bill So Far (November) that I am being charged for not one, but TWO 2Gb Data Bundles at R249 each!!!

I am fine with one being charged IF I GET THE DATA, but this is hugely unacceptable!

I want the additional charge reversed, and I want the data bundle activated.

I find it hard to believe that Vodacom consistently manages to move backwards in terms of technology and customer service - at a blistering pace.
