CHANGING CONTRACT AGREEMENT

Good day.

I am typing this review in utter, utter disgust and disappointment. Please bear in mind this is the SECOND time something like this has happened and I am not going to leave this unattended.

I contacted Vodacom on the 14 March 2022, spoke to Lerato, regarding my account that they can assist me in trying to make it more affordable. We did 2 migrations on contrasts and the one number the migration was done on was ***. At no stage in my telephone conversation I mentioned anything about an OPEN contract.

Now allow me to explain what I understand as a CLOSED contract seen as Vodacom does not understand what it means:

An OPEN contract mean that when my data, minutes or airtime has run out, I can still make calls or use the internet...which means, I as a very good client will be paying OUT OF BUNDLE RATES.

CLOSED contract means: You receive a specific amount of airtime. voice minutes or data. When this has been depleted, you CANNOT do anything else before recharge yourself with data or airtime you must buy for yourself.

Vodacom can go and look on their records and see there has been a similar incident like this in the past. And now this has happened yet again.

I NEVER instructed Vodacom to make this particular contract an open contract, and I followed the instruction of the Call Centre person, Leratho, in guiding me to the best solution on this number. Now I have a bill for this specific contract for R2234.40 for the end of June...plus the amount for end of July is a staggering R3154.29!!!!!!

Let me be very clear about this: I WIL NOT be held accountable for paying the above mentioned amounts of money! Vodacom changed the contract details, without my consent to a open contract and then they expect me to pay everything?

The only amount I will pay is the amount I must pay every month which is around R411.29

Let me make this, yet again very clear: The last time something like this happen Vodacom SOFTLOCK my account which means all other contract users cannot do anything and because of my outstanding balance, which is in the first place is not my fault...and now Vodacom expect me to pay everything because of something they did?

If Vodacom dares to "SOFTLOCK" my account because of this outstanding amounts, believe me, they will hear from my lawyers. How can Vodacom just change a contract agreement without the account holders consent?

I expect Vodacom to settle the amount on their own and please keep me updated on this, because if Vodacom does not make sure that the amount, which is their fault, is fully settled, I will also inform my lawyer.

Kind regards, Mrs. Sanette Swanepoel

Good day

I refer to my complaint that I lodge on the
27 Jun 2022, 12:03 . I was contacted by Vodacom and they informed that I will be refunded for the three months that the contract was an open contract, I specifically asked the person how long will the refund take, and she informed that they a service request was generated but she could not give me an exact date.

Up till today the 14 July 2022, I did not receive any feedback and their was no refund made to my account. It seems to me they make promises that they do not want to keep.

Kind regards
Mrs Sanette Swanepoel
