Change of contract without consent

I did an upgrade on my data TOP UP contract during March 2016 to another TOP UP contract with a FIXED monthly amount of R159.00. Reference of Quotation 1- ********** 093.

For the first time this year, I received an email yesterday, with my invoices for the month of August 2016. I found with a schock that my data Top Up data number has an invoice of R4789.72!!!!

I immediately went to the local Vodacom Chatz store after work - at 16h00. The consultant phoned the customer care line from. He did not receive ANY help from the Head Office. He gave me the customer care number and told me to phone them myself and try to sort it out as "the people are obviously getting ready to go home". This is totally unacceptable customer service

I left the store extremely frustrated and disappointed for not getting any support or help.

On the Vodacom online site, I downloaded each and every invoice since I upgraded.

With a shock, I found that there was a migration done on my account during July 2016, from my Top up contract to and OPEN CONTRACT. I have no idea who gave Vodacom consent to do this without my knowledge and consent. I have a Top Up data contract for years.

I phoned the number the consultant gave me. The lady told me that she cannot help and that I need to go back to the shop!

I went there again today and walked out of there still frustrated. An email was sent with the necessary documentation as proof . The consultant told me to come back on Monday to "see IF Trade Partner has read the email and rep****".

I also have a cellphone TOP UP contract with a fixed amount of R189.00 per month, and saw that my account has been debited TWICE for the amount of R218.42 for "Discount FREE my gig 1" and "Promotional my gig 1". AGAIN I have not given consent to anything to be added to my account. My question is also - how can something be "free" or "promotional" but I have to pay R436.84!!!

Again I have phoned the customer care line FROM THE SHOP. The consultant on the other side of the phone told me that she will send a reference number immediately and report the issue ASAP. This is now 7 hours later and I still have not received any sms with reference number as confirmation of the call that has been logged.

Never in my life did I have any account with such a high amount as my data contract. I dont even use so much data - that is why I upgraded to a 2 Gig top up contract in the first place.

I want to warn all Vodacom customers to insist on copies of all documentation. Keep it! Check your invoices each and every month to ensure that your contract has not been changed without your knowledge and consent.

Vodacom better sort out this mess! Rectify my contract back to Top Up, Credit my account with R4789.72 AND pay back the amount of R R436.84 which has been charged to my account and deducted from my back account.

I truly doubt I will renew my contracts with them.
