Change of contract

I managed to get my adsl for home in September, therefore I have wifi access at home and work.
I decided to cancel my vodacom contract and change it to prepaid, this contract I used for my iPad and laptop to get internet access. The contract was a 3gig contract, paid monthly.

When I phoned to cancel, the call centre employee informed me I could just decrease my amount to 1 gig for R99 and it comes with wifi for when I am in an area without wifi. Which to me meant I would still have access anywhere and still be able to top up if necessary.

Vodacom only delivered this device on the 2 October, so when I called to ask why my contract was same as before it was stated it will only change in November. The device was left aside for this time, I did not open the package.

On the 3rd November, I was at work and the wifi was down so I attempted to go on to my iPad and laptop with my vodacom account and had no service. So I contacted Vodacom call centre, I was informed that they didn't understand and would check for me, and get back before 5pm. I was alI am still waiting to be contacted.

I ask, why would I get a wifi router account when I have adsl? I need vodacom for when I don't have wifi

Today I received a notice of payment from vodacom, with regard to the above matter.

They have still not sorted this matter out. I have not used the device and now they expect me to pay for something I did not need.

This is ridiculous, I would like a solution soon!
