Change in debit order amount without consent

My bank account is being debited with R273 per month for which I never signed a contract. I have a current signed contract of R149 pm with Vodacom but noticed that my account is being debited with R273 per month. As it is lockdown, I am not able to go into the store to query this. I was never personally contacted by Vodacom and never gave consent to have this amount deducted from my account via debit order. I only made provision for R149 pm and was charged a fee of R120 for the "debit order" of R273 that was returned this month. This is unacceptable in terms of the Consumer Protection Act. I would like the fee of R120 to be refunded and the difference between R149 and R273 which amounts to R124 pm extra to be refunded to my account. The debit order must also be cancelled with immediate effect as this is unacceptable. What happened to a client being given the choice to decide on packages and amounts to be paid for data bundles? I am being denied this right as Vodacom is ad hoc deducting money from my account without prior consultation and/or consent. The contract is also due to expire but when? and if it did am I not entitled to decide on the way forward? Please correct this situation as a matter of urgency. I am also instructing my bank to cancel any/all debit orders from Vodacom. If any payments (agreed upon between parties) are to be made, I will effect it via EFT only. It is my instruction that NO further debit orders be deducted from my bank account.

I would like to enquire as to when this query will be attended to. It is in excess of 48 hours and NO ONE has contacted me. I will also not allow my account to be debited again. We need to sort out this issue as soon as possible.

Still NO response to date... Maybe Vodacom does not need me as a client anymore after 19 years of being a loyal client?

I am still having problems and escalated to the extent where Vodacom wants me to pay an additional R569.30 but refuses to give me a statement. My account was NEVER sorted out and the query has not been resolved since this complaint was lodged. The contract for *** and *** were both terminated in June 2020. However, I am now being threatened with legal action. The credit that I was supposed to received was NEVER credited to my account. I made a final payment of approx R218 in full and final settlement of my accounts at the North Cape Vodashop in Kimberley. Rudi and JJ assisted me and ensured me that my account will be credited and that I do not owe Vodacom any monies as both accounts were paid in full and cancelled. Now on 11 December 2020 I am being notified of arrears!!!! They refuse to give me statements of my account having been settled in May-June 2020 already. I was supposed to be on a R158 pm package and did not migrate to a package of R273 (never signed a contract for such an amount) yet I was being charged this amount and no one to date has sorted out this discrepancy. I expect this issue to be sorted out within 48 hours or I will seek legal recourse! I will never do business with Vodacom again after a 30 year business relationship! Rudi and Lionel tried their best to assist me but other officials at call centres etc refuse to assist and co operate. I am entitled to know why I must pay money in when the account was settled in June 2020 and why Vodacom is refusing to credit me as was arranged with the Store Manager Rudi and your Head Office. I am awaiting my credit with interest and would like the current situation to be sorted as a matter of urgency. This is appalling service as I have been a good paying customer of Vodacom for 30 years.... Please help me to resolve this issue asap.

I need proof that my ITC has been cleared and the negative report has been removed.
