Cellular service continually being suspended

I have a top-up account (uChoose Flexi 200) with Vodacom since December 2015.
On 1 Jan 2017 my cellular service was suspended. I call the call centre who informed me that my credit limit was exceeded. A service request was logged to increase the limit.
I had changed nothing on my account, my account has never been in arrears and it's a top-up account so I can't even run up a bill. A credit limit exceeded is the most ridiculous thig I have ever heard.
Everything was working fine for just over a year with no credit limit issues. So why have Vodacom suddenly decided to reduce the credit on my account?
Within an hour of calling the call centre, my account was suspended again. As it was a public holiday I only called again on 3 Jan to follow up on what was happening. I was informed that it hasn't been attended to yet but "someone will call me when it is fixed".
Everything seemed to work fine until on the 18th of Jan my service is suspended again and I called the call centre. I get put through to the solutions department and I speak to Linda who tells me that the service request logged on the 1 Jan has been closed without anyone atending to it. She puts me through to her team leader Thembisa who assures me that she will send an email to the Vodacom back office department and promises to call me back the next day.
Nobody calls. In all this time, I have not received a single call from Vodacom to follow up or keep me informed as to what is happening, even despite logging a "call me back" on their system.
By 20th Jan it was still not fixed, I went into the Vodacom store in the V&A Waterfront and spoke to the manager who refered me to a guy named named Roger. He assured me that it was "just a box that needed unticking" and that it is now "permanently fixed".
On 21st Jan my service has been suspended again. I pop in to the Vodacom store in Tygervalley. They unlocked the account again and a new service request is logged.
Today (22nd jan) my cellurar service is suspended again. I went into the V&A store at 10am, spoke to the manager (Chris) who called the service centre to have my credit limit increased. The person he spoke to said he would attend to it and he should call back within 2 to 4 hours to confirm. I went back into the Vodacom store at 2:45pm. Chris called the service centre again to find that the centre was closed and my problem had not been attended to again.
I was told that unfortunately they cannot unblock my acccount today, I would have to phone at 9am on Monday morning. So I am without service for the whole day.
It has been 22 days and still I have an unreliable service. This is completely unacceptable!
I want to cancel this contract due to lack of service but the quote I received includes R1641.74 listed as "Balance of Contract". That is offensive! Vodacom haven't been able to provide me with a service and they still want to charge me for the rest of the year?
All the escalating and emails that I have been prommised by call centre agents have amounted to nothing.
How do you get hold of anyone at Vodacom who will take responsibility and get this fixed?
Can someone with some authority please call me back?

Today I received an SMS stating that my query with ref number 1- ********** 314294 has been closed.

Does that mean this issue has been resolved? It doesn't say so. The previous query was closed without anyone attending to it.

Thank you Vodacom for that nice generic reply to this review but no consultants have been in contact with me, in fact I have still not received a single phone call from anyone at Vodacom in the last 23 days that I have been experiencing this issue.

Is this really what passes as customer service in the Vodacom world?

I am appalled by the distain you show your customers!!!

It seems that my problem has finally been resolved. Who knew that it could take so long.

I received the following email from Vodacom...

Dear Mr De Villiers,

Apologies on the service received.

The credit limit is due to a system error that occurred and I understand that it was not your fault. I cannot override the cancellation costs, however I loaded a 15% subscription discount on the Account for the inconvenience. It will be for the remainder of the contract.

It's the least I can do and I am truly sorry for the experience.

Regards,

I would like to thank Chris from the Vodacom store in the Waterfront as the only staff member who actually seemed interested in helping me resolve this issue. He was also the only Vodacom employee who prommised to call me and then actually did.
