Cell phone repairs
This is in connection with a cell phone repair. It is a new Sony M2Aqua. The phone is roughly 6 months ols and the sim card reader stopped working. This phone is still under warranty. We took the phone to Vodacom on 28th October (Job no. ***7). On the 2nd November we received an sms to say that the phone was at the repair centre. On the 24th November we received another sms stating phone was in transit to the collection point. When we went to collect it, we were informed that we have to pay R 879.00. We informed them we not paying as the phone is under warranty and should have been repaired. On 1st December the phone was sent back to the advanced repair centre (Job no. ***). We have yet to receive an sms or phone call from Vodacom regarding the status of this phone. We went to the Vodacom shop at Meyersdal centre and were informed that the repairs are now sitting at R 1,300.00. We informed them that we are not paying as when the phone was sent back they said it would be repaired under the warrantly. We then enquired about cancelling our contract which they said would cost us R 25,830.00. Clever *******s! We have 8 lines on this contract - signal is ****!!!
