Cell phone repair

I have purchased an LG G5se handset on contract from vodacom in October 2016. It is now Febraury 2017 and i am experiencing issues with the phone. I have taken it to a vodacom store and they have advised that since the phone is within 6 months old i may proceed directly to the repair centre in Umhlanga and they will repair the phone within a short space of time. I was extremely hesitant in booking this phone in as it is practically new, but i, along with most consumers in my position, had no choice.

Firstly, the phone is just over 3 months old and is being repaired. Being a flagship phone by LG, I have been advised by vodacom that they will be replacing the main board, the battery, the charging port and the charger, hence i am not comfortable in keeping this extensively repaired phone for the remaining term of my 24 month contract, why should i, i am of course paying quite a bit for it.

Secondly, it has been a week now since i have booked the phone in for repairs and the delay, from what i have been told, is due to the availibilty of the spare parts as described above. I have been given a loan phone which does not even support 1/3rd of the features of my handset, however i am still liable for the full payment at the end of this month. This has put me in a further inconvenience.

According to the CPA, if the device malfunctions within 6 months and if i am not satisfied with the handset i am due a brand new device. I would like to take this up, although vodacom has walk in customer service outlets, the correspondence from their contact centres for such queries are very poor.

Please could someone assist me and raise this issue

Regards
