Cell number lost due to Incompetence

I app**** for a new topup contract with Vodacom on Tuesday 21 Feb 2017 through their online processes. The contract was "approved". I have also indicated that I was currently registered with Telkom and needed to port. The device was delivered on Thursday 23 Feb 2017 without a sim card. I then contacted the call centre enquiring why the device was delivered without a simcard. I was than adviced to go to the nearest Vodacom outlet to obtain a sim card. The consultant at the Woodlands branch was abit confused and told me that the device wa supposed to be delivered with a sim card but gave me one insteadt and told not to put it in the device until the port has been concluded. He also told me that it should be done by midnight. My number ( ********** 073) was inactive as of the early hours of Friday morning. However, I've waited until after lunch to switch the device on. This is when I discovered that my number was still inactive. I contacted that call centre and was on hold for 12 minutes until the call was dropped. I've tried again to no avail. I then went to the same branch the next morning to enquire regarding my inactive number. They told that they could not do anything over the weekend and I should wait until Tuesday and if still inactive, I should then come in again and they will active it for me. On Tuesday when I went to the branch I was assisted by someone else as the gentleman was not in the store. The consultant informed me that they can not do anything as their online processes works differently than the store processes. We contacted the call centre which they told me that the contract was cancelled last Thursday but they could not tell me why other than "its a system fault". They were very unhelpfull in assisting me indicating that the device has to be returned as the "order was cancelled". Unpon enquiring about my uinactive number, they told me that Telkom has to release my number first I requested to speak to her supervisor. The supervisor (Martha Dumazama) told me the same lie that I have to go to Telkom and ask them to release my number and I told her that I have confirmation that the port has been approved from Telkom. So I told her that they can collect their device but I want my number activated again because it not my fault that the order was "cancelled". I have even contacted Telkom to confirm Vodacom's explanation and they told me that the port has already been done last Thursday already and the number has been registered with Vodacom. Now I'm sitting with a device and have been inconvenience and must now contact all my clients to provide them with a new no as well as change my number by my banks also becuase now I can't even do any cellphone banking either.
