Cell fone LTE is not the same as wifi modem LTE

here I am,setting a record on my Vodacom complaints,it never ends,year after year...why,Oh..why !!!
Quite a few months ago i purchased a Vodafone R212-Z wifi modem.
I specifically asked for a 4G/LTE modem,and that is what I got supp****,it seems
I specifically asked for 4G connectivity
The sales person asked if I lived in a 4G area and if my cell fone was working on 4G,and assured me it would work fine
I seemed to work fine, but unbeknown to me,only on 3G/HSUPA
This week I went back to query why my modem doesnt receive the 4G/LTE signal, but my cell fone does,
and the reply i got was that they use different platforms and my supposedly LTE wifi modem wont get the 4G signal even if my 4G cellfone does.
I was confused,as i swopped my cell fone sims to double check, both work on 4G on my fone and both DONT work on 4G on my R212-Z wifi modem
I was told the problem is that Vodacom doesnt have a 4G/LTE bandwidth for wifi modems in Durban yet,
only in Umghlanga
So technically.. theres nothing wrong with my modem...
UNLESS I GO TO UMGHLAGA TO USE IT !!!!
Am I been given the run around or is this a fact???
I havent got time waiting 30min for tech support at eveanry Vodacare shop in Durban
