Case not fully resolved

Thank you for the assistance so far but you were too quick to close the case. I have received the emails but there’s still a discrepancy in the accounts statement. My mom pays R156,02 and then she was charged R100.88 for penalty however there is a R191,01 that appears to be an unauthorised upgrade that I clearly stated my mom never wanted so can it please be removed and the correct contract amount be added so that we can pay and have the contract finally terminated. Your cooperation will be highly appreciated.

We have then contacted the account holder your Mom today 2024/07/29 at 13:34:14 and have advised as per previous email sent to you 12 July 2024 the following:

As discussed, with the account holder on 2024/07/12 at 09:43:00 we have converted *** to prepaid effective 31 July 2024.

We have passed a credit on the account and the account is reflecting a credit balance.

See attached updated statement reflecting the credit we have sent via email.

Kindly note should she wish to retain the number on prepaid have her recharge within 48 hours of the conversion on 31 July 2024.


Do take note of our Inactivity Rule:

Please note that all prepaid sim cards on the Vodacom network is governed by an inactivity rule. This means that when a prepaid sim card has been inactive for a period of 120 consecutive days, that number will be deleted. 

Activity is defined as: 

- Making or receiving calls, SMS, GPRS, etc.  
- This includes calls to voicemail and the recharge service 
- And excludes calls to 111, 114, 1082, 155, 112 (emergency service)
