Careless and disappointing service

requested home fibre via the Vodacom app, using the "find coverage" functionality, but instead was given a router with a SIM card for "LTE service". This major change was not made clear to me at the time during the call with the consultant, who was calling because of my fibre inquiry. Nowhere in the quote does it specify that this is an LTE service, and not FIBRE.

I continued to wait for the fibre installation at my parents' home for weeks after the router was delivered. I also inquired about this as I was not hearing back or being contacted by Vodacom regarding the installation. I did not receive a response/callback regarding this service request, which I believe would have been crucial, as it was made early enough to clarify the confusion.

After numerous calls to Vodacom, a consultant alerted me that I was signed up for "home internet" and for this, the router came with a SIM card. And again, my parents and I were not aware of this. Fittingly, the package with the router was unopened, and no one knew about the SIM card; thus, it was not inserted, let alone activated and used (I'm sure Vodacom can confirm this)

Vodacom, however, began to charge for the LTE service (a service that was not being used for months). I have spoken to so many people at Vodacom about this, from February until now. The most recent calls made by me where I have had to rehash this issue to numerous consultants, several times. During this time, my issue has been handed over for debt collection, and it is utterly unfair to me that my credit could be affected by an issue that is not my fault, and one that I have proactively tried to rectify for so many months. Furthermore, this issue has dragged on, without updates from Vodacom - mere "escalations" that yield nothing.

This is not only careless and concerning, but also wildly disappointing to say the least.

I still have not been updated on where this is with Vodacom. I have received two emails from HP attorneys regarding this. My credit continues to being affected!
