Cant open new account since I am not credit worthy

I went through so much trouble this past week so I can move to Vodacom and get the Samsung Galaxy Alpha (SINCE IT IS EXCLUSIVE TO VODACOM), I even paid an early cancellation fee of R880 at Cell C. Today I went to Vodacom at 9h00 (and was there until 13h00) to open my new contract. Everything went perfectly and then I had to wait for an hour to hear whether everything has been approved. After an hour, nothing had been approved and I had to wait another 2 hours. After those 2 hours had past, I had to hear that I cannot get a Vodacom contract since I am not \credit worthy". I literally wasted my whole day just to go to Vodacom.<br> <br> I started officially working in January and earn R8500. My parents also give me R5500 every month. I took my bank statements for them to see as well as insurance letters. Even my medical aid is a debit order. I don't have any in-store accounts since I buy what I want cash and I don't want a credit card because it is not necessary for me to have one.
