Can't even cancel a contract ethically

I am in the process of cancelling all of my Vodacom contracts due to no service, ********* business practices and a complete lack of awareness of how useless they are with every interaction being more painful than the last.

I phoned in October since I wanted to cancel two contracts, I had to place the previous one on Hellopeter too for similar reasons. In October I was told it's too early to cancel the other contract, so I phoned again today and was told I had to phone 30 days before the end of the contract. However the person was friendly and said since the contract is complete on 1 December I will still be charged for December in full. Charged for 30 days after my contract ends and I expressly said I do not want to renew or extend in any way. I want it changed to pay as you go so I can port my number.

I was then advised I can pay only R40 for a month to month thing I can cancel afterwards but I still need to buy additional data and voice airtime or I will be charged almost R500 for a month I'm not in contract and that I expressly do not want to extend.

I am advised to stay by the phone his manager Fiona is phoning me directly after his call, four hours later I get a call saying that she's not sure what exactly my query is but after a long part of hearing how the sales people needs to advise etc., I'm told that my contract will be cancelled from 1 December but the billing department will need to be contacted about the billing. So to sum up everyone passes the buck and everyone again shows how ********* Vodacom is and how useless Vodacom is.

My contract ends on 1 December, I expressly do not wat to nor do I agree to extend it in any way. If there's a cross over that I need to pay up to 1 December, I will pay that but nothing post 1 December. These are also the CPA regulations. If I am billed for anything after 1 December I will take the matter further

On 1 December the contract needs to be changed to pay as you go so I can port the number, which I can't do with any of the R40 solutions being offered.

As usual let me end this with showing again how useless Vodacom is and post their reply for them, which no one actually changes since no one reads these. Third one cancelled only one to go
