Can't cancel, can't upgrade

• I signed up for a Vodacom contract with Cullucity in Melrose Arch • Well before the 2 weeks was up I decided it wasn’t working for me and I was going to take up one of MTN’s Black Friday specials • I called cellucity and asked them to cancel the contract • They told me that Vodacom told them that I have to call myself • I called the cancellation line and spoke to a consultant who offered me a new, better package which I gladly accepted • She then called me back and told me that the system said that Cellucity first have to call to cancel my original contract • I called cellucity and they told me that they finally got through yesterday and put in the cancellation request • Today, after spending the whole day calling Vodacom (30% of the time I was kept on hold until the call just cut) I’m told that there’s nothing on the system, that cellucity have to call and besides the 2 weeks are now up

So I’ve basically spent 2 weeks trying to cancel this contract only to be sent running in circles by Vodacom, practically making it impossible. I’d still like to take up the new package offered but at the very least I want out of this contract. I’m at my wits end and this whole experience has been time consuming, frustrating and has left a very bad taste in my mouth.
