Can't activate simcard

Trying to find out if I can get an expired number back, I don't have a sim card to call customer care so went to 2 Vodacom shops one in canel walk anther in newlands and got hi help at all. I don't have proof of residence to get a sim to call and they can't even log a fault or check my number , either they can't or won't. IV got a Telkom simcard which the same thing happened to and even they could sort it out why can't Vodacom really disappointed

Look if the number hasn't been reissued you can still assign it back but guess even Telkom is better as they can
