Cannot cancel a dead data SIM - still being billed.

Ah here we go again. Impossible to cancel a data contract that is no longer in use.

This would appear to grossly violate our consumer rights, and it is just impossible to cancel, and yet Vodacom still manages to bill for a SIM that is long gone in a dead router. I do thing that we should all communicate, and launch a crowd-funded lawsuit. Anyone agree?

Still being billed. Cannot cancel at a store, can only email "retentions.cancellations at vodacom.co.za" who never reply. Tried ***, no one answers and there is no waiting queue, just a voice that repeats over and over and over "All our consultants are busy, please try again later".

Anyway, now that we've added another 1 star review to your abysmal rating, can a Vodacom person please contact me to cancel this account that I have been trying to cancel for months and months?

Oh, and I must add, this is the second data contract for my father that I am trying to cancel (the first was in May 2019 - see previous post). Each time he visited a Vodacom store to get his router fixed, they would sign him up for a new data contract, without cancelling the existing one. BEWARE OF THIS **** BY VODACOM SALES AGENTS. They just want their commission, and do prey on older people who cannot follow what is happening.

The old man has visited a physical Vodacom store twice, after we discovered this additional SIM (which we don't even physically have in hand) being billed to his account. As a senior citizen, who is hard of hearing, he is unable to operate the phone for the zero eight two cancellation number. I tried to help him, but no one answers, and we get the repeating message as mentioned in the first post.
