Cancelling My Vodacom Contract

On the 18th of November 2016 I contacted vodacom and requested a premature cancellation they then sent me the premature qoutation with the amount payable of R 1 167.00, I went to the bank and payed the amount of R 1 170.00 into their account via the tellers, came back to work emailed them the proof of payment etc. They sent an email later that day stating that they received the email communication with a reference number etc. I gave them a call a few days after to make sure the contract was cancelled and the person i spoke to assured me it was cancelled and persuaded me to take out a new contract with vodacom and offered me a 1 GB top up package at R 74.50 per month and i thought its a good price i'll take it. In December on the 15th i received my statement via email and the amount i had to pay is R 274.50 and saw they were still billing me for a handset installment of R 166.67 that i didnt have, cause it was payed in full on the 18th November 2016. I then received numoures sms in the beginning of Janaury 2017 requesting payment and I should pay the amounts that wasnt right, when I got back to work on the 9th January 2017 i contacted vodacom right away and had to explain the same story to a few people everytime i called and then the one person puts me through to this department and then the phone just goes dead etc it went back and forth for a couple of days sending emails aswell. I was really starting to get annoyed and very frustrated cause it seems no one can sort out my problem. On Friday 10th i received a call and was told my line is going to be suspended and I still explained that I logged a dispute with their cancellation dept etc but the person said i should sort it out with retentions she is from the subscriber collections dept. On Saterday 11th my line was suspended/cut so i called their customer care again and was told that my contract was never cancelled she is going to log another dispute for the contract to be cancelled and it will take 7 to 14 days to be resolved. And in the mean time i'm sitting with a phone that cant do anything call, sms nothing. I dont know why people dont do their work right then others have to suffer & face the consequences.
