Cancelling a deceased's contract
We are having a nightmare of a time cancelling my father-in-law's contract with vodacom.
We have sent letters to the legal department about three times and they keep on telling us that they did not receive the documents, and we also get the automated response that queries will be resolved in 5 days. We have sent the emails 30 November and again 9 December and still nothing.
When calling we are sent from one call center agent to another without EVER getting the legal department.
In the mean time the phone bill has to be paid but no outgoing calls can be made.
HOW IS IT THAT VODACOM DOES NOT HAVE A STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE FOR WHEN THE CONTRACT HOLDER PASS AWAY, IS MY FATHER IN LAW THE FIRST PERSON EVER TO DIE AND LEAVING A CONTRACT BEHIND.
