Cancelled Contract - Still paying after 4 months and contract not cancelled!

I have been trying to cancel my contract (uChoose Smart S) since June and have been unsuccessful after calling numerous times ( ********** ).

Initially, instead of cancelling my contact, I was upgraded! I didn't ask for an upgrade, I wanted to cancel my contract (expired in June) and covert to prepaid. Then I was told that now the upgrade needs to be reversed and only after the reversal they will be able to cancel my contract and convert me to prepaid. I was told someone from Vodacom will call me in 7 days, obviously no one called me and when I called again I was told that the reversal was logged but nobody executed the request so again I had to wait 7 days and until this day I have not received one single call from Vodacom. It's been 4 months and I every month the money get deducted of my account for a contract I cancelled. It's ridiculous.

I have unfortunately not taken down all call reference numbers, but here are two instances:

3 Aug 2016 @ 09:00 - Name of consultant Progress Ref. 1- ********** 6192
26 Aug 2016 @ 9:30 - Name of Consultant Sibisiwa Ref. ********** 71

I went to the Vodacom shop at the V&A Waterfront and was told that they can't cancel contracts from their shop and I have to cancel my contract via the ********** number, but that's what I've been trying to do for 4 months and I have had no luck! I honestly don't know what else to do… How do one successfully cancel a contract and convert to prepaid?

Roger was helpful in assisting me to log complaint and submitted the attached Cancellation Request form. This was last week Monday and I have not heard back from Vodacom.

I would like Vodacom to reimburse be for the money I paid each month after cancelling the contract – but this process will probably take a decade.

Please can someone phone me to let me know that my contract is cancelled and that I don't have to again pay at the end of this month…again.

Thanks,
Adri
