Cancelled contract, still being invoiced!

I cancelled my contract with Vodacom last year, 6 months after the 2-yr contract had expired. On 30th September I ported my number to MTN and paid my last invoice in full.

Despite receiving confirmation from Vodacom's porting department that my number is no longer listed with Vodacom and that my contract was cancelled in time, I have continued to receive invoices from Vodacom EVERY MONTH SINCE OCTOBER 2016!

I have spoken to countless billing and collections agents at Vodacom, all of whom promise to "escalate" my query and resolve the matter, but I continue to receive invoices (with compounding interest).

Why can Vodacom's various customer service departments not all see the same information about their customers (and ex-customers)? How is it that the porting department can clearly see that there is no money owing on my cancelled contract, but the collections department cannot?

PLEASE VODACOM, SORT THIS OUT!
