CANCELLED CONTRACT BEING HANDED OVER
Around January 2016 I got so fed up with the poor signal in my area that Vodacom agreed to have my contract - that I had for over a decade - cancelled. The condition was for me to either pay off the handsets or for me to return them to Vodacom. Within days a courier company came to collect the handsets from me. Months later I was contacted by some debt collector telling me Vodacom handed me over as my account was in arrears. By now my original number was already ported to another network, so I was very surprised.
I looked into my ICT report, and it was confirmed that this account was listed as being in arrears. This is now for nearly 2 years. I tried to speak to Vodacom directly, to the debt collector - no one can or rather wants to assist. According to them they never received the phones. I mean ***... When calling Vodacom customer services, they can't find the account. I am so fed up. Never will me or my company ever deal with Vodacom in any manner. I asked their debt collector to summons me then if the account is in arrears for me to state my case with the relevant emails to a magistrate. They are as useless as Vodacom cause for months I am awaiting summons to be delivered.
