Cancelled contract and still being billed

To Whom It May Be Of Concern!!!

I have been a loyal and paying customer over the last 15-17 years at Vodacom. In December 2015 I decided that the rates and what I was getting from this cellphone company was not for mee anymore. I took a Cell C contract and ported my number to CellC from the Cell C store. The Cell C store still contacted Vodacom and made them aware of the fact that I am porting out and that I will resume my service with them.

At the same time I only had 2 months left on the Vodacom contract and therefore thought that I would run the two account concurrently till my contract expires (Which I informed Vodacom of in December). To my surpise I was billed again in March and April. I phone Vdacom on March 2016 to resolve the issue, but with no luck.

I must have spent about 3 hours on the phone, being directed from the one service department (If you can call it service) to another with everyone telling me that I am actually not at the department managing these types of problems and that they need to re-direct me. After telling another person my whole story was duplicated again until such time that they dropped the call.

If the call was dropped due to the fact they they actually never intended to help me of did not care I cant tell you, but after telling my story a 100 times I eventually could not take it anymore. Its sad to see a huge company like Vodacom taking your hard earned money for a period of 15-17 years (near to R256000 - 300 000) and not helping the same client when they want help with issues they have.

The best of all is that Vodacom told me that they could see on their side that I ported out of Vodacom in December and that the cancellation request went through on their side, but nothing else was done. Ultimately I had to stop my debit order for the phone and 3G (Which I actually still wanted), just to stop Vodacom from deducting another R from my account. Ultimately it places me in a bad spot due to the fact that I used the 3G for work daily. Well, rather not having the service is much better than trying to correct the problems at Vodacom!!

All I ask is that someone with authority and the s**** in managing these types of complaints phone me and correct the mistakes thats taken place on this account. I need to be reimbursed for the months Vodacom deducted the extra months over and above my contract and explain how we will handle the 3G going forward.

Really dissapointed in the way clients are taken care of when they want to migrate (maybe even when you are a client of Vodacom), and did not at all think that a company of this statue would resort to these types of tactics when they needed help. (Does anyone at the call centre know how to handle these types of complaints. After talikng to a bunch of them, it does not seem like it)

Kind regards

Jacques
