Cancelled Contract
In 07/2015 I called Vodacom for a contract on a Samsung IPad. Upon delivery of the gadget I realised that its not really what I was looking for. I immediately called their new business office to request collection and cancellation. The immediate response was that \ we will collect within 14 days\". Needless to say that six months went by and there was no collection. I had called and offered to deliver this gadget but they refused to give me the return address.
I sent several emails to the Vodacom and the courier company and no one seemed interested in helping me. In the meantime there were several attempts to debit my account which I put stop payment to. In January 2016, I got a letter of demand from Vodacom stating that I owe them R3400.00. I then called them to say they must once more come and collect the gadget.
I was told they are still going to check the recordings and they will get back to me. No one called me at all. I called three weeks later and only then was the gadget collected. I subsequently spoke to 18 people to get my letter confirming I don't owe and to date I haven't had anything from them. I have lost on a bond application because Vodacom listed me. "
