Cancelled contrac

I battled for about a year to get Vodacom to do something about bad reception and bad data signals in my area, eventually they cancelled the contract, but I got another Vodacom phone with same problem. I got them to investigate and was told it would take 7 days, I called back every 7 days for about a month, then eventually I was told they would cancell, but want the phone back. I dont mind. This phone is about 27 months old, it had better days, beleive me, but if they want it, its fine by me. The only problem is I have to sit for a few days without a phone, until they receive that phone and cancell my contract and I port to MTN. All I want from them is to allow me to start the porting process and get a new phone, so by the time they collect my old phone, I can still go about my bussiness on my new phone!!! How can they expect me to run my bussiness withou a phone???<br> I tried to resolve this, the last person I spoke to at the retensions department, Sipho Gazi, told me the only way to get what I want is to pay between R2000 and R3000 for my 27 month old phone, then I can keep it and they cancell the contract right away. Why pay for an old worked up phone?
