Cancelled account handed over to attorneys
A ********** account was opened in my name. I flagged it with Transunion as well as Vodacom themselves. I was then assured that this account was cancelled. Now, I get a call from attorneys because the account is in arrears! Vodacom cannot see it on the system because it was deleted. Vodacom Legal cannot help because it is now with the attorneys. So I am going to have to contact the attorneys and tell them to hand the account back to Vodacom. This thing is still siting on my credit profile which has now tanked my score.

Now, can someone help me understand how a CANCELLED ********** ACCOUNT got handed over to attorneys 6 months after it was supposed to not exist anymore?!?
