Cancellation of Contract _ Vodacom within 7 days

I reported a network issue with the contract SIM that I bought with Vodacom on Thursday, 26 March. (REF:***) which I reported that I cannot connect to the internet. Now after speaking to numerous agents with attempts to resolve my issue, I am still encountering the issues and when I called to cancel, I was told to wait until the Lockdown is over and report my issue with the store and cannot guarantee that the store can assist me. Or should I want to cancel over the phone, I'll have to pay a cancellation fee of R10 850,25.

I cannot even go back to the store where I bought the SIM due to the lockdown, my thing is how am I liable to pay such a huge amount of money even though I bearly used the SIM. I am still within the 7 days period of cancelling and cannot be expected to pay any cancellation fee. The SIM cannot even take calls from the Vodacom contact centre.

I'm told that I signed up for the deal and must use it until the maturity date of my contract.

If they cannot get through the Vodacom number (since the network is an issue) can I ask that they contact me on ***?
